Interesting. I quite fancy giving that a try myself next year.

Confirms my long held belief that eastern european/russian brains are the best at
programming/logic/maths and chess :-))

Just a pity that collectively they can't improve their own lot.

Hopefully that will change with the painstakingly slow demise of communism.

I'm unconvinced. Given the large number of EAs out there, some are bound to be very successful but could fail dismally next year. It's just luck and a random programming method could produce big winners at any specific time. Why assume that a big winner will make a profit next time?

This could be true, but you might as well say that of traders.

Absolutely, and I do. Particularly Newbies who, if they profit, think they're great traders and if they lose, think the system's no good.
