There seems to be meetings in all areas of the country apart from us Midlanders!!

Any traders in the area like to have a trading meet up??

Solihull or Birmingham or ...open to suggestions....

I'm moving to the Midlands at the end of June, so if we can organise something I might actually be able to attend for once!

re:Birmingham/midands traders

yes like to meet at too i am in leicester   like the new web site too?

I would also be interested in a meeting in the Midlands. The closer to Lichfield the better, as that's where I live.:)

What a good idea,it's about time we did something round here.

I live in SolihulI and think it is an excellent idea and would come along.
I know of a good venue in Merriden that would let us have a table in a quiet part of the hotel.
I have been to meetings there before and it's easy to get to and there is good car parking.

Not entirely sure yet Fluke, but it's looking increasingly like somewhere around Rugby (although hopefully not next to the cement works). We had considered somewhere like Solihull or Litchfield at first, as we'd been told they're both very nice places to live, but opted for Rugby (at least in short term) because of the excellent rail/road links to places elsewhere! lol

I would be interested in a meet, thought the same as you EK1 there never seems to be much going on locally .
Sharky,I have lived in Rugby most of my life so if you want to ask anything about the town or surrounding area drop me a message.

Great response everyone - the more the merrier.

Next thing to agree on is a date. A Saturday in June looks favourite: as I'm sure we'd all like our esteemed colleague Sharky (Mr T2W) to join us once he has completed his move to the area!

Looking forward to meeting everyone for an informal chat about trading.

More suggestions are most welcome........

Fluke, like the idea of the venues in Meriden: plenty of hotels and good car parking with easy motorway access.

Sharky, good luck with the move. Plenty of excellent properties in the area especially in Solihull/Warks (where I live ;) ). Have a look at Knowle, Dorridge, Hockley Heath or if you're really minted Lapworth/Tanworth in Arden. Drop me a line if you want more info on the area.

Regards,

I would be interested too. Birmingham can be a nightmare for people who don't know it especially if the M6 is busy. Rugby would be great, very easy to get at .

Would be interested in a meet as well, Im in Coventry - i can look around for some venues here as well if you like? I know we could have a meal at TGI Fridays (Expensive but a good atmosphere) or could find a more reserved location?

Let me know

Cheers
Kam

Thanks for tha advice and suggestions regarding the move. As you may have noticed, we ended up moving to Warwick rather than Rugby. With Leamington so close by, we're really spoilt for choice in terms of shops and restaurants.

Plus, T2W will be moving into a new office sometime later this month, most probably in Coventry. So once I've had a chance to settle in, I'll be happy to help organise a get-together.

nice one Paul, good luck with settling in etc.....no more jogging up & down Ilkley moor for your morning excercise eh? ;) from one beautiful part of the country to another!!.....eee bah guum! :D

Looks like the Midlands meet up is back on then.......be good to see everyone.

Sharkey.
Glad to see you have found some where nice to move too.I am suer you will like Warwick and you must visit Warwick Castle some time.People underestimate the West Midlands, they think of the area as it was in Victorian times.,very industrial, its not like that any more. There is some very good country side round here and there are some very nice places to visit as well.
I hope you and your family like it,best of luck.
Hope to see you at the meeting, lol.
Regards Jon.

i dont know if this meet has already happened but if not then count me in too - i'm in central brum

sounds good to me too, venue Would be Ideal centre of Midlands, nec, tamworth, Warwick area not too far from West or East Midlands.

Looking at setting up a Midlands meeting in next few weeks or so.

Ant ideas/suggestions welcome.
