Just wanted to know how many people aren't actually profitable trading the FTSE here? I always find it fascinating how many people are out there getting hammered I mean there's so much marketing especially here in the UK about trading Forex etc..

I know people normally ask who are profitable in the market but I just wanted to see who on here is losing and by how much (ain't we all)

Be Good To Hear,

I would start a poll but I'm newbie here and I don't believe I can :(

Anyone send me a message via PM if you wanna chat just wondering if anyone here like me is very unprofitable in trading the FTSE market on the 2, 5, 15 min time frame as I want a study partner,

Thanks

try a longer timeframe ----in most cases anything under 15 mins is pure puntland.

I've been losing massively. If you can teach me how to make 5 grand back, let me know. I will give you 10% of my gains (if you guarantee 100% success - ie. cover my losses)

magibird - You're trying far too hard. I know very short time frames is the classic modern approach to trading, but it's so hard to be consistent. What would you think if you could make one trade per day, on the most favourable 60% of the business days of the year, with a 60% win rate?

Does that mean that everyone is profitable?

It is difficult to commit oneself to a partner because it entails a level of responsibility that I, for one, do not want. Most of us, on here, are loners in our trading. We come to this forum to exchange views and for company and, also. because of its relative anonymity. That is as far as it goes, in most cases.

Is he fishing for punters that he will turn into mega winning traders. Nobody would fall for that old "get them with a question" trick would they - nah !:whistling

My Big Ben trades on the FTSE are profitable over the last 2 months I've been using the system.

As for being profitable over all - its a pretty steep learning curve - Like many I started off trying to trade small timeframes and discovered that I didn't have the temperament for that. So I've slowed it right down, I've begun to develop a consistent methodology, I've started to work on being much more patient, I'm using demo accounts and micro accounts to help me survive while I learn and I won't switch to trading with larger amounts of money until I've proven to myself that I can be consistent.
