zero lag macd

There is a indicator out there not sure how new it is.Anyway it is called the zero lag macd.So here is the question is'nt tecnical indicators lagging by nature? And if this indicator is really zero lagging what does it means to us?

If your using meta trader you should be able to find it very easy.

Since MACD is based on moving averages and MAs are inherently lagging indicators, MACD is going to per-force lag as well.

MACD is the most lagging indicator of all. I advise you to get as far away as possible from this indicator.

This a curious thread.....as Rhody Trader suggests, MACD is based upon moving averages and thus will be inherently lagging......I'd love to know where one can see this indicator outside of meta-trader (if this is possible) as either this indicator doesnt use a traditional MACD calculation or it is lagging.

Equally, "MechXTrader">>>>just because an indicator is lagging it doesn't mean it is useless...whilst different indicators do suit different individuals' trading styles better than others, lagging indicators can be very useful for confirming other indications and in fact parts of the MACD oscilator can actually be suggested to be a predictive or leading indicator. For example, if one is examining the MACD histogram for "divergence" with price, this can be considered a predictive indicator of possible reversal to come.
