95% Lose

FOREX TRADERS 95% LOSE
THAT MEANS FOR EVERY 100 PEOPLE
5% MAKE A GOOD OR OK LIVING
95 WILL LOSE
4 WILL DO OK
1 WILL DO GREAT

I KNOW THAT TRADING OR INVESTING TAKES TIME AND ENERGY BUT I STILL FANCY THE ODDS WINING IN FOREX THAN LETS SAY THE ODDS OF WINNING THE LOTTORY

ATLEAST YOU CAN EDUCATE YOUR WAY INTO THE 5% IF YOU ARE POSITIVE ABOUT TRADING, LEARNING AND TAKING ONE STEP AT A TIME http://www.trade2win.com/boards/images/icons_new/icon14.gif

They say that you only need average intelligence to be a good trader, so I don't really fancy your chances trevpick :cheesy:

as all members are aware I are a terrible at spelling, but then I have good business acumen and quite a good trader.

Back to the thread now.
Do 95% of people loose ? well its all about management, how many times have you been in a trade and get stopped out only to see the market rise 100s of points in your direction hours or the next day ?
So its all about timing and direction agree ?
In realitly it is a small % of traders who become totally financially independent.

They say the same thing about Pokerplayers - 95% of them lose money. But what does this actually mean? is it that 95% of them don't know how to play poker?

I would suggest not. In fact I would say that most of them know how to play poker, but to different levels of expertise. The problem for most people is that they don't exercise good money management and they don't acknowledge where their edge comes from and then ruthlessly apply that edge in order to make money. That is, they keep upping the stakes until they blow their account.

Most people could make money playing poker, but they don't have the discipline or the neessary control of their emotions and psychology to do so consistently.

I would imagine it is the same for traders.

Whether it's poker or trading, you just have to find a way to tip the odds in your favour.

Once you have found that " way" ( edge ? ), you should exploit it for all it's worth.

Fair enough. You probably do "have good business acumen and quite a good trader".
