Hi :

New here. We are old trade station users. Have not had any problems until recently, within the past weeks. Its crashing, giving strange error messages, etc.

Thought maybe it had something to do with windows updates since it just recently started and we've scanned for viruses.

Anyone else use TS or have those problems?

When I first click to create a trade station chart, after opening a workspace I get:
"Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION"
It gives a button I can click which states "Ignore" and allows me to continue after clicking it. It then opens the window for the data.
I can then add some data. But then if I click to format symbol, I get :
"orchart MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience."

and all the windows freeze up and turn white. This is after a clean install.

What version of TS2Ki are you running ? It will say under the Help and About menu.

Hi:
Version: 5.00.0822

We are having crazy errors and problems on two separate, unconnected machines. One machine has McAfee and the other has Norton.

I've run memtest to check memory modules and those were 0 errors on both machines. Its something that would have changed over past month. Though, on my machine I don't know when the problem would have started because I just installed it for first time on this one and right off it gave problems. But I've had it on other windows XP computer (before this one) and it always ran great.

Oh his he gets an assortment of errors :

When trying to open workspace: "Insufficient memory to perform operation". He hits "ok" then it states "Failed to launch server application". Then when hits "ok" several times, the workspace will open with many of the charts missing.

Other times it has also given following messages:

"Catastrophic failure", "out of memory", etc. . and then the TS windows either fail to appear in the workspace or appear white.

Sometimes he will be able to get the workspace built with several charts, save it without problems and then when he reopens, he'll have problems with those messages.

Sooner or later while working a bit, they will start. It doesn't seem to matter if there is a stategy in the charts or not.

Failed to launch server application"

I think this error is caused by a problem with a dll file that needs to be reinstalled. I cannot remember which one it is just now but I will post tomorrow the details.

Also try increasing your virtual memory to double what it now is.
