Hi All,

As many of you will know, I have been a member of this board for a number of years whilst operating as a full-time trader and trading coach. I do hope that during that time the users of T2W have found my contributions useful and informative.

After trading for 7 years and coaching for 2 years, I have decided to cease the operation of my mentoring business and retire from these boards for good. No doubt there will be a certain amount of speculation as to my reasons for this (both positive and negative), but the truth is, I simply am not getting much enjoyment from either coaching or trading itself anymore.

The general theme of the financial markets has lost its shine and appeal for me over the years, and I have decided to pursue other business activities that I have developed over the years that now hold a greater passion for me. Regular users of this board will have seen my input on T2W decline during the past 12 months as other interests have taken priority in my life.

I would like to thank everyone for their time and effort on all the threads that I've been involved in, and genuinely wish you all the very best in your trading endeavours.

Thank you, Goodbye and Good Luck

Damian

Fair enough! No point doing something that you lack drive for any more. Good luck with your new endeavours!

Blimey, the flood gates have opened!

All the best Damian, good look with whatever you do in the future.

:)

JT,

You also did the same a while back which has maybe started a new theme for which you can claim to have been the originating trendsetter.

So do you have any advice for those following in your footsteps on length of time before returning :)

Well i didn't quit per se, as in say I'd never post again, i stated that I'd be spending a lot less time on the trading BB's, which has been so - 40 posts over more than 2 months. So not bad, and a definate improvement. Old habits die hard though.....

Hopefully things will improve further, and if and whenever i do post again, you will know that that posts content will literally be as valuable as GOLD DUST to the lucky reader ;). But TBH, this has more or less always been the case anyway :whistling

first excuse is suspicious. Second is almost a total cover up.

My view on it is that those who make SOME money big it up and offer courses/seminars/systems. Those that make horrendous amounts keep very quiet and remain anonymous to avoid attention.

Your saying the above is akin to Darren Winters or Vince Stanzione saying they are giving up the markets after having made their millions to pursue other business interests. Why can't you say:

1) I haven't been making much money from my coaching and it's not rewarding enough
2) I haven't been making much money from the markets for what I put in because either I don't have it in me, or I can't be bother to go through what you need to go through

at least that would be honest......

Personally I don't see how making (or trying to make) money cannot be exciting - that's why we all trade and there's an immense satisfaction at the end of the month/quarter reviewing your account and seeing some gains, and I'm often overjoyed at making back earlier losses!

I cannot ever see myself selling training either - I have absolutely no desire to and I just don't see how it could be as rewarding in terms of effort/time as trading itself.

I think we can all read between the lines on this post and come to our own conclusions as to why one might give up.

FW...now you...albeit for different reasons...anyone else leaving...we could make it like a run on a bank...

........I just don't see how it could be as rewarding in terms of effort/time as trading itself.

Would you think that £300K for two days coaching beats trading in terms of effort against reward ?

if our friend can get that kind of work, he would . . . . . . . most of us here would not do it, probably because we aren't "showman" enough to pull it off, but more likely we think it ethically reprehensible.
