The Paralysis of Analysis

Ok I was bored and pensive this weekend...

I welcome any views

Yes, that makes two of us who think that we are being bombarded with information and advice that we, simply, cannot handle. Overload. It's best to leave T2W alone when one is trading. I know that I get involved in daft arguments that are not worth the trouble, but there is always the hope that someone may get steered (by me :) ) onto the right course. ;)

Hello Price man....
I guess you could not have put it in a much better way but I use trade2win as a refrence guide...
Secondly you may have noticed many of the calls on our board do not have a set method of trading hence it becomes a red or black scenario.
Also a few of us left the board at the same time as posting and helping was not an issue but the arrogant posting by newly wed forex members was getting a bit out of hand.
I am going to be posting on t2w but I will open my on thread....
We had a set group of traders working together in the month of sep,oct and nov after that........

Best of luck Price man...I hope you do find the holy grail someday....
Till then

ah, been there priceman :)

You say - ................ I have my system and it works very well ..............- if that's right then follow Nicholas Darvas - "How I Made $2m on the Stock Exchange" (or something like that) and cut out everything except the information you need for your system. He couldn't even trust himself not to read the Wall Street Journal so he cancelled it and just got his broker to send him the key price info he wanted on his selected stocks each day.

If life seems boring when you've got no daily newsletters to read or forex threads to follow then take up golf or if your system needs you at the screen then browse T2W but put your forex threads on ignore :cheesy:

Good trading

Thanks for the responses so far guys. Glad it's not just me beating myself up about this and others go through the same thing.

Maybe with Sharky's proposals for the new forex area a lot will be tidied up and we have more direction? I don't think it's just an FX related thing either, it's the same for all kinds of trading. We all need to know what we want and how we'll get that with minimal effort (as minimal as is feasible that is) It's like entering a cable short just before the BoE announcement... of course you have to know what is critical.

I would avoid getting distracted into how sharky organises the FX forums or whether other people are posting well or not. This is just finding excuses. Your document shows that you have started to identify that only you can be responsible for your own trades. Well done! that is an important step. It now means ignoring chatrooms and bulletin boards and doing your own analysis and taking your own trades.

By all means engage in general discussions about how to trade but ignore all stuff about go long this or short that, dollars going to tank etc.

Best of Luck
