How much capital do you need as a new trader?

As little as you can get away with. You're going to make mistakes as a new trader - probably quite a few of them. Best to have as small an amount of capital at risk during that phase as you can.

first, go through the demo trading, then start a real trading with small amount of money

that really depends, but at least $25,000.

Oh this number capital is for them that having high funds, maybe for retail trader or small trader they not having these amount capital to start trade, now one advantage forex is small trader they can start even with use 1$ some broker offer minimum deposit only 1 $ and they can adjusssted according their funds

I started with HF markets with a little less than 200 usd that was a couple of years back, they do not accept us traders, on the other hand i started with 300 with a new broker i trade LMFX worth checking out, they do accept US traders.

I'd add that if you start with demo account, you'll be able to define yourself how much capital would you personally require, considering you trading style and strategy.

Yes I think is good uf still newbie then practice use demo account, because this is free of risk and as trader they can practice to implemented such trading system and also strraegy forex with free of risk because only use virtual money

Drawn on my trading career in the past, even if you have more, you always start with very little money - this is simply a psychological issue. And when you trade with little money, you will always feel it is easy to make money. When you manage a huge amount, you then will fear and you lose your confidence sometimes.

So the only difference when trading with bigger amounts of cash is a psychological burden and the ensuing obstacles?

Apart from that, you will find that sometimes it is not easy to put a large amount in one stock or so.

As retail trader usually will start with small capital in their trading, but maybe will different , for trader that having huge investment, might they will use big amount capital, like as me usually only spent money in small number.

I think I better question would be what return could a half decent trader expect with a years experience with never taking massive risks? if course, it has to be sustainable as well..

From what I've seen, 5 - 10% per month is achievable -what do others think?

capital is the least of your problems when starting out dudes .......its that road to trading excellence that is the tough one

write enough off to lose in your initial trading and also spend on training , equipment , systems etc etc ...............before you ramp up for the real push towards consistent profitability

long road but worth it for the people who get there
