Hi! New here but not new to trading. Just want to share this.

If you open up your heart chakra you will become more intelligent and fear also disappear.

I have tried it and found out stuff about how markets works that i would never have done in a "normal" state.

OK, F, we've read most things on here, but not this. Let's have it. Welcome in, BTW.

By "normal" I assume that you don't take anything, do you?

I agree...
To trade...you kind of need a spiritual or calming side to you.

Trading is a very nerve-wracking business, or thing to do. You need a counter balance. :innocent::devilish:

Doubt (and in a sense fear) are generally higher in more intelligent people, so I wouldn't say that being profitable in the markets and being fearless are the same. Knowing the mechanics of how things work and being neutral are better options than being sanguine or hyperactive. The first makes you miss opportunities the other makes you erratic and careless.

I think it means having wild rump-me-bump-me flings with a lot of pretty girls.

:)

I think I'm discerning a trend here.

Members whose names start with F tend to be borderline fruitcakes who may be nice guys otherwise, but unfortunately don't have all their marbles in place, and definitely couldn't trade their way out of paperbags if their lives depended on that.

F: "Hey I'll go long the Dax tomorrow at some point, will tell ya later, and then when I've cashed in my 200 point profit once it's reached one of my levels I'll also let ya know. Later."

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Out of all the trading forums it's really only T2W where this stuff and such all-out Nutters are actively encouraged.

One thing is for sure, this policy has definitely harmed the site in terms of activity. Couple of years ago there was so much more going on here. Also why so many of the real traders and top guys have stopped posting here.

Kinda sad really.

Criticism without constructive proposals doesn't really help so here comes a remedy.

Tim explained that T2W is set up with a software that wouldn't allow them to set up trade explorers like say FF has.

But why not partner with one of the numerous other providers out there, like ayondo, profitly, stocktwits etc ?

That would really put an end to unsubstantiated make-believe trades and exclusively self-proclaimed experts - not new since F's days this phenomenon here at T2W, remember Socrates lol ! -and really boost credibility no end.

And also act as a huge incentive by providing hard proof that yes, there are indeed people out there making 1 or 2 % every day on average, what could be better and more confidence inspiring for a trading site ?

Hey BSD, long time no speak, hope you are well. I kind of agree with you to a degree, though I've always taken all posts as I see them, good & bad, not so much that anybody is a nutter, but I think people mostly post to test their own thought process, I know I did so in the beginning.

But one thing I have found (for me anyway) is that I totally switch off when people bang on about the price will reach this level & that, showing their charts & mystic balls, or even worse talking about what level it HAS been, it's bl@@dy obvious where it has been & where it is probable intention is going to be. Anybody learning the ropes need not look at other peoples charts, I now see these posts as almost childish (I kinda always have)

I have in the past tried to talk about the actual live inception of a trade, what is happening in a trap scenario AS IT IS HAPPENING & realised quite quickly early on that not too many others had really worked it out, or even tried to, I mean really getting into the nitty gritty of what is happening on all levels AT INCEPTION POINT, & could see that in actual fact I would be sucked into the vortex of giving away all I have learned through hard work, especially dealing with SB trickery on top the xetra price feed, only to in the end possibly be thought of as a whack job wasting hours of my time on a forum.

I have come to the conclusion that most people probably use this forum as a simple way of talking to like minded people, rather than trying to glean someones method. I do think the forum seemed to have a real quality a couple of years ago.

One trader I really noticed early on was Dinos. I am still in personal contact with Rob, he is dealing with other issues atm, so hope he may return.

The way we all deal with trading as it unfolds in real time in front of us, is so vastly different due to our differing circumstances.

I got into mindfulness about 4 years ago, there was a great app called Headspace, it will seem a little cheesy now, but actually the whole idea of mindfulness is the best thing I have done for my psychology, in all areas of my life.

Hi mate, yeah long time no hear, hope all is good with you also.

:)

What you wrote makes a lot of sense.

I am also very much into mindfullness, here and now, etc.

Definitely wires you into the Universe, and aligns it's powers behind you.

Say Hi to Rob when you talk with him next time.

Right.

Off for a bike ride.

Good trades next week.

:)

PS I suppose I shouldn't have written that T2W actively encourages Nutters.

More a case of live and let live, probably a more accurate assessment.

I am all for increasing intelligence. Many went down the drug route and failed miserably. So what is your medicine ?

I do note how childish Einstein became in his later years and unproductive. Whether it was moving to a different country and set of friends caused this or not I don't know. His father was a noted watch maker and therefore probably got young Albert off to a flying start.

PS, like the link, especially post 11 ;)

Many great characters from the past were considered nutters by their peers until finally proven right. So who knows for sure ?
Can young Jimmy with his School maths see a way to debunk a great mathematician ? Unlikely but not impossible.
Perhaps the new search for dark energy and dark matter is just a load of bunk.

:smart:

Hi Markus,

Lol, just for the record, we don't encourage 'all-out nutters' at all! What we do do is to allow anyone to participate so long as they don't breach the Community Constitution. The very member(s) you consider to be all-out nutters are held in high regard by others. And visa versa. I'm sure there are one or two members who will include you and I in the all-out nutter camp! Needless to say, if everyone agreed on who is and who isn't an all-out nutter, then there wouldn't be a problem. Alas, that's not the case. Never has been and, doubtless, never will be.
;)

Constructive feedback and suggestions are always welcome, thank you.

I'm not familiar with any of the sites you mention, so I've no idea whether or not they would be good partners for T2W. That said, surely there's nothing to stop members joining them and linking to them to provide the kind of evidence you mention? Lots of people do exactly this with myfxbook, although, personally, I'm not convinced that a good trading record on that particular site proves anything very much. Maybe the sites you mention are much better - I don't know?
Tim.

Hi Tim,

dunno exactly what kinda sharp light would hold an even sharper light in high regard, if said even sharper light goes around writing a 1000 posts a day with nothing but completely phony, unverifiable trade calls that are completely ambiguous, with the sole purpose of creating a pretense profitability that does not exist in real life.

Must be a really sharp light, that.

;-)

If anyone knew how to trade and wanted to prove that, he would either open a trade explorer, or, at the very least, before putting on a trade, state the exact entry level, stop loss, and take profit, and not just go on about maybe doing sthg if certain levels are reached, and then afterwards making claims of great profits thus pocketed, etc etc.

But hey, seeing as by far most traders are net losers it's understandable why they'll grasp at every straw and fall for any self-proclaimed expert, no matter that no proof whatsoever of said expertise has or will ever be forthcoming.

;)

Couldn't really say if Ayondo etc are any better or worse than myfxbook, just think that offering something of the kind - like the colleagues at FF do - would very quickly show people following trading journals who is the real deal or not, really provide some credibility, always a good thing.

Markus
