I've being around on T2W since 2003, of late I found most the forums I visit have become nothing more than a ground for slanging matches, arguement and counter arguement, with nothing constructive coming from them, for me anyway.

Friday 20th March will be my last day visiting this site, for those of you who already know of my decision, I will keep in contact as we discussed.

Happy Trading all.

Bye. Rob

Rob

Its sad that you have decided to leave, I would request you reconsider your decisions.

Its always good to have good and experience people around.

Cheers

Its always good to have good and experience people around.

But there are very few left, now.

Gradually, inexorably, they all leave. For obvious reasons. Many even state their reasons for leaving openly, as Rob has just done.

Until the forum's willing to change its moderation policies, that's clearly how it's going to be. But at the moment, the staff apparently aren't even willing to respond to polite messages from members expressing our concerns about it and/or making suggestions to improve the situation. I left half-way through 2013, for the same reason, came back a week or so ago for a look around to see if it had changed, and discovered to my dismay that it really hasn't. And apparently nobody in authority cares at all.

I've never spoken to you, Rob (Dinos), but I recognise your username, of course, am sorry to see you go, and don't blame you at all.

Cheers, Rob

Live long and prosper (and do pop in from time to time)

Dinos is one of only a handful of people capable of teaching without preaching.

Cheers Rob

Considering you are one of the few people who have PM'd me with very helpful trading advice (quite unusual tbh) I would say this is a big loss :(

Maybe just take a break from the site... or set a few threads to "ignore" ?

Great shame! But I do empathise with what you describe and at times it seems totally needless and very annoying. However, it's a bit like the noise of life in general where Pareto crops up with 80% rubbish vs 20% good stuff. I deal with the T2W problem by just going off into the distance from time to time.

That's a shame.
I don't want to argue (ha ha) but t2w seems a lot better to me with far less aggro than ever before - at least since I joined in 2001.
Maybe I'm just reading the decent threads ?
Anyway, I've always thought of you as a decent guy and I'm sorry to see you go.
I echo the comment about using the ignore button.
LLP,
Richard

Couldn't agree more Rob. The forum will be a poorer place without you for sure and also the main reason why I don't post very often. So, where is an experienced trader of 13 years scalping and day trading like me to go for my down time ? You setting up a skype room or similar for us experienced guys ? I would be interested.

Cheers.

klw.

Well as you know i left a couple of days ago, just came on now to alter my mail settings etc so no more emails.

Speak over the weekend mate.

Regards as always, Shane......:)

I do not blame you rob , wishing you all the best in whatever you do its very sad that its come to this captain
watch

Hope you have enjoyed my leg pulling over the years .

Bye and good luck , thinking about walking the plank myself

You'll be back sport. Can't stay away for too long without your T2W fix. :)

As far as I remember he has a luxury villa in the South of France and a luxury yacht North of England. Can't be all that bad surely.

Au revoir as our French friends say.

I'm very sorry to read of your decision Rob - you've been a great contributor to T2W and you will be sorely missed. I'm especially disappointed because - as Mr. Charts points out - the forum is a much more civilized place these days that it was just a few years ago. So, if there's anything we can do to make you change your mind - please get in touch. In the meantime, I wish you well and hope that your trading and life in general goes from strength to strength.

A bit harsh Alexa!
I care passionately about this place - and have done for a very long time. I confess that I've never understood the logic that when two or members have a spat - then somehow it's the moderators and staff who are to blame! Be that as it may, if you - or anyone else - has suggestions as to how the site can be improved - I'm all ears!
Tim.

A bit harsh Alexa!

Fair and accurate, actually, Tim. I deliberately didn't explain the background to my comment (after some thought about whether or not I should), because it would have been hugely disrespectful, in these circumstances, to hijack Rob's thread or risk making it about me, rather than about him.

Another time, maybe.

Or just tell Paul Gould to reply to his private messages, if you want it to look as if the forum's interested in member concerns and/or suggestions. Or just ask Steve, if he's no longer able to deal with members' well-intentioned inquiries, to pass them on himself to someone who is. Otherwise people will start whining in public, as Rob and I both are. (To be fair to Rob, he didn't actually "whine" at all: he just announced his departure, which was of course more than most people have bothered to do.)

if you - or anyone else - has suggestions as to how the site can be improved - I'm all ears!

It's a shame none of your colleagues apparently is, Tim.

And it's a shame they never have been in the past, when all those members left.

And it's a shame Rob feels as he does and nobody's ever been willing to do anything about it. But you and I both know that he's one among hundreds.

I've "had it up to here" with trying to be helpful. I'm just plain pissed off by this forum, and as you see I've even reached a point where I don't mind saying so publicly, since nobody takes any notice at all when I try to do that privately, however tactfully and politely I try.

I care passionately about this place

I used to, at one time. And I know that Rob did, too. It's time (actually it's way beyond time) for you - plural, not you personally, Tim! - to start asking yourself why this thread has arisen in spite of the fact that both Rob and I used to care about this forum. That's about the forum, not about us.

Think about it, the markets are nothing more than a... ' ground for slanging matches, arguement and counter arguement...' ,

The markets are the ultimate argument arena ? So, T2w, ought to be a breeze to endure , without any great hardship ?

It shouldn't affect us significantly , t2w, I mean. See ?
