Favourite Expo?

Morning traders.

With many different trading exhibitions around the world now, I was thinking that it would be interesting to get your opinions on them.
What do you think makes a good expo, what makes it memorable, is there anything that draws you to one expo more than the other, ie, a particular speaker or company there that you would like to meet?

Is there anything that companies do to draw you in that you like? I remember the last time I went one of the companies were handing out free drinks. I thought this worked quite well and got people interacting with each other.

Anyway, I would like to hear any of your experiences or ideas if you would like to share?

Kind regards,

Jeff

A good expo is any that one avoids like the plague.

I saw one advertised (it might have been on here) and clicked on the link for the purposes of sport. 'Pon my word, the list of speakers was a veritable galaxy of rogues.

I think trading expos exist largely to enable scam companies to open the wallets of the desperate and gullible.

No, let us be fair, and scratch that. Not all are scams, some are just extremely dodgy. And it is even possible that the odd honest broker might somehow slip in as well, so there is a slim chance that you might meet an exhibitor who is not out to rob you.

In conclusion:

Expos. Sensible people don't need to go, unless it is in pursuit of lulz. Idiots are at great risk if they do go, and therefore should stay away. Like I said, a good expo is one you stay away from.

i'll attend anything in the UK to see or meet a particular person ........most other stuff is detail and of course very entertaining :p

So for example at the London Moneyweek one earlier this year I met Ashraf Laidi , Lex van dam, steve ward , and a few other speakers. presenters who actually made it a worthwhile time as I got to ask the questions I wanted to.....face to face

most of the other stuff was absolute drivel and newbie fodder......

The only useful purpose they could serve would be as target practice for the RAF.

Has the RAF got any planes left these days? After all, the Government seems to think that the RN can do perfectly well without ships.

Other than that, I wholeheartedly agree with your comment.

Hi NVP,

I wish I was in the Seychelles with all the bad weather we are having in Europe at the moment.
I actually represent a company called Axiory. We are based in the Seychelles but a lot of our operations are in Europe so I'm not actually in the Seychelles right now.

Regards,

Jeff

Hi pboyles and thanks for the reply,

Apologize for the long reply but thought I should explain.
I understand how it may seem "dodgy" to some, but we reasons for having the set up this way. Seychelles is a good jurisdiction to get started, as we are a relatively new company, but a some of our staff (support etc.), is in Europe, as that is one of the markets we will be concentrating on in the upcoming months. Now we are just waiting for our MFSA licence to be finished (hopefully weeks now) then the company, licence, regulation, operations etc. will be in Europe it self.

Meanwhile we chose to provide safety in other measures such as having a reputable bank, Apex fund administration (overseeing transactions) and being as transparent as possible.

As for the MT4 and the Russian colleagues, yes we do have an MT4, and have been very satisfied with as have pour clients, but we will be launching a new one in the future. Unfortunately we do not have anyone Russian with us, but as we are an international company, we are always looking for new people with different abilities and languages, so I would like to think that we will one day!

Regards,

Jeff :)
