I have watched these boards for a little over two years now.. I have noticed one thing that stands out predominantly.. the hatred for any "vendors" by the so called Legendary Members..

I bet there is a correlation that exists on this board..

The more posts you have racked up is indirectly correlated to how successful you are as a forex trader.. I mean, what possibly could posting 2500+ posts do for your success. do you actually have time to trade? I have noticed most "Legendary Members" have only been members for a year or so... yet have thousands of posts.. seem weird?

So how do you achieve Legendary Status? rack up as many posts as you can regardless of their relevance to successful forex trading.. in fact most posts I have noticed by legendary members are spent bashing "vendors" even when they have no idea what they are talking about...Maybe they are afraid of being 'hypnotized' into buying something?

To all the new traders out there, do your due diligence... Don't let some bitter traders (if you can call them traders) who cant seem to find success make your decisions for you. Do you really think a person will have time to trade, work out strategies, refine their trading style AND make 10-15 posts a day?? no chance. Successful traders do not spend this kind of time on Forums... They are living their lives!

There is a lot of information out there, and this forum has good introductory info... but there is no substitute for trading side by side with a successful trader. If you listen to these "Legendaries" you might just find your self addicted to forum posting for the next few years. good luck with that!!

...good trades,

Sam

Spoken like a true vendor. Check out the vendor badge.

Bar BJ, I don't know any legendary members off the top of my head who have been sub 1 year.

I think it's actually more likely to be.

More posts => more time spent on T2W=> more time wasted on vendor related garbage => more fed up with them.

They have time to do their vendoring though?

I agree with absolutely everything he says here.

Most members here have an "instant dislike" of anyone showing a vendor badge. I've done it myself. Certainly unfair but considering the very poor ratio of good vendors to scammers & spammers it's understandable. pBoyles and others do an excellent job of outing the downright lowlifes that pop up on the web but not everyone fits into that category.

I had an opportunity to visit Sam's trading room some time ago. We took a few trades and all was well. Here's my comments made on the thread at that time:

IMO, I don't think Sam was or is trying to scam anyone. As always everyone should do their own due diligence and make up their minds whether his or any vendor's methods work or not.

Probably not. But if you're going to begin an argument then get your facts straight first if you want to be taken at all seriously. How many Legendary members are posting 10-15 posts per day?? I've just done a quick check and haven't found anyone with more than about 5, with most around 2-3.
And many of these posts are just a quick comment here and there. Who, after already having a trading strategy in place couldn't find the time to jot a couple of quick notes down?? I entered a long EUR/USD position yesterday and there was nothing for me to do with it except trail a stop for seven hours! I moved the stop about 10 times during that period, requiring about 20 seconds of my time. Successful traders can have plenty of time on their hands.

you are an idiot
i average 2.2 posts per day
i predominantly trade off WEEKLY signals
so why wouldn't i have the time to surf T2W ?
Usually on the lookout for vendors and knobheads like you to cut down to size

2 posts a day takes a lot less time than running a live trading room and flogging forex moneymap software. Forex Malibu, what next.

Hey Pete, thanks, but be careful, last time you mentioned this the "legendaries" accused you of being "paid off".

My average is 2 posts a day, about the same as yours so I'm not quite sure what your point is.

My point is lulz. I think i need to give this guy a chance. I watched one of his videos and he scalped 10 points and it made me laugh. From what i can tell is that if he has an edge it's possibly the hardest one to teach in the world.

Always unwise for a vendor to taunt people like this. It rarely works to the vendors advantage. The Sky Hamilton thread is a good example, though he did go a bit further and threaten to shoot the 'legendaries'.

Great idea for a thread Sam

i have many times jumped on the slag of the vendor motion. I do it for a reason.99% of vendors that come on here are here to rip of people who are trying hard to find a successful way of trading and are easily exploited, we've all been there. so yes you are guilty until proven innocent. In your case, were you top do a day or week of live calls on the thread, then very few could question you. i understand that's probably hard for you as you are a scalper, but do not knock people for trying to protect others.

Little irritates me more than vendors who must flog their wares to newbies because the can't make enough coin from the market coming out with unsubstantiated self serving statements such as those above.

Hi Sam

successful trading isn't necessarily about what you win its about what you don't lose. the point of this is many successful traders don't trade very often and rely on discipline to wait for only the highest probability trading opps. They often have time free whilst waiting for optimum conditions/ set ups to form so posting on a forum can be a good way of killing this time. The simplest example of this is a trend follower. When the instruments they are trading are ranging they must stay out of the market and not be tempted in. capiche
