Silver market.

short term yes.
Long term maybe not.

If gold increases long term silver will too and may well outperform gold.

There is also this story /myth? doing the rounds that silver is the focus of gigantic short positions by major banks and when they eventually unwind these positions the price will rocket.

It's also a material used widely in manufacturing (much more so than gold) so as output picks up, so real demand will too. We buy around 100 tons a year (where I work) and the effect of price on cashflow is pretty serious, yet there's no-one here (but me) that looks at a single chart. Crazy.

Isn't that chart looking very bubble model-ish?

Bubbles alter people's behaviour, such as the dotcom bubble where people were giving up their jobs to day trade tech stocks, or the more recent property bubble where everyone was leaving their jobs to become property developers and take on insane amounts of debt. Neither gold or silver are in my opinion bubbles as they're not changing the population's behaviour significantly, they're just markets that have gone up a lot, and by the way, they're still no where near their inflation adjusted highs.

Try this 'real world' test. Ask your friends, work Colleagues and/or relatives where they buy their Silver Bullion coins from, or if they can advise you where to get the best price on Silver bullion bars. They would probably look at you like this  and say:

I'll try it here, you try it in Asia.

Yes, since you came back.
I don't pretend to know everything like you do new_trader so I tend to discuss things with people and exchange ideas. It's what normal people do and it's how you learn and grow.

But you're not normal are you and you've further evidenced my point with post #11. Keep going.

I gave you a real world test. You just didn't understand, so you thought I was mocking you. The fact is, my idea wasn't original but I thought it was good enough to use and pass on.

I didn't think you were mocking me at all. You have no concept of context as you're permanently on edge for some reason. I don't want to get into an i-argument anyway so lets just chalk it down to a misunderstanding eh?

Misunderstanding eh? Like your expertise at Psychoanalysis based on forum postings.

I was hoping for some more lulz from the 2 of you to keep me occupied!

Peter

How can my observing that you are short with people, very condescending at times and always ready and willing engage in silly forum snipes or attacks at all be construed as an attempt at psychoanalysis?
What you're doing now is delving into well documented arsenal of the forum/keyboard warrior buzzwords for purposes unknown so I'll leave you to it.
