North Versus South Korea

Surely its time North Korea should have a regime change.

El Sicko and his potty son should be in padded cells somewhere.

Or are world leaders going to show how impotent they are ?

It is about time we paraded bankers streaking with the loot, and the ordinary man took over running the western democracies.

How're you going to trade this?

This is likely to be a proxy war.

You need to look at who is standing behind the little players.

China v USA.

I suspect they will both lose out and other smaller countries in the region most likely to win.

Dollar will fall - China will have more inflation and gold and oil and commodities will rise.

This is China flexing its new power and muscles in the region. Not sure US can stand up to anything at the mo. Paper tiger that it has been shown up to be.

This is a little risky to say but imho if South Korea is smart they should yield and let North take over. Then amend system from within... Peace and good will can defeat the army of nit twits and nukes as they will be pretty useless.

I doubt they have the political imagination to master a soft win however...

The only option is really to either bomb N. Korean /Iranian nuclear facilities if full inspections are not permitted or pack it in and let the whole thing get worse for some future President.

It would be better to have China/Russia cooperating. Perhaps they could manage a token 2nd strike.

World leaders ! Not yet by a long chalk !! Pussycats and spineless moral jellies might better describe their mewling

Makes a person vomit just to listen to their cant and hypocracy

Is this thread about a world cup qualifier match? If it is, South Korea will win it 3-1.

You wish... :cheesy:

My money is on the North.

Those people have nothing to lose. Sadly...

False flag IMHO. Odd how S.Korea was (as late as yesterday) apparently discussing taking nukes of the US to point at NK..now they have the excuse to do it but will that involve a major face off with China if the U.S. attempt to park nukes there?...Cuban missile crisis re-visited?

This could be the test Cheney and Biden said Obama would face in the first 2 years of his term..

You kidding???

US / NATO talking about a missile shield whilst it goes round the globe setting up nuclear bases.

I don't think so!

Has trouble with Afghanistan and coffers skint - doubt it will be able to sustain any other adventures... The US needs to consolidate. Days of globe trotting long gone...

It will be in nobodies interest for any body to try and gain too much power. Russia and China can only cooperate against a strong US. Otherwise they too will be competing and perhaps fighting...

This is the whole dillema that I have a problem with. Most of these nations can compete and access resources much cheaper in the market place by merely buying them at what ever price and currency they have. There is no need to go to war.

War sets nations back decades. Influence in a region to do what? Really the mind boggles. The US has had a century long period of most encapsulating influence and intelligence. What has it achieved but to rub just about every nation up the wrong way and make enemies. A very rare feat.

We should let warring nations war and they will meet their match sooner or later.

One last thing - any nutter that uses the nuclear strike these days will find them selves at an equivalent strike nuclear or chemical. Is there any war that can be won these days?

This is just a proxy war where China and US playing silly games for influence in region. The US should back out whilst it can. Alternatively embroil China in a scrap like in Afghanistan. Silly games that's all.

You kidding???

Silly games that's all.

let's all hope so. But major wars can start over very minor things e.g. WW1

testosterone fuelled ? Maybe one of the qualifications to be a world leader should be castration

Thinking about this - if SK approaches US and wishes to buy nuclear technology - well that would be different.

I would sell it to them. I always think balance is best deterrent to agression that leads from imbalance...

Let the Chinese sort the rest out - if they are not prepared to reign in NK.

Controversial point..... let women rule the world, especially PMT prone ladies and we end all these confrontations and wars, and do as they say... lol..... who in their right mind questions a pmt woman..my missus told me to say that, hehe, ouch, steady love, that hurt..only kidding

You lot do realize war is a racket,..and the only reason the two sides will fight is to line the pockets of arms dealers,.....nothing new under the sun.
BTW: Dick Cheney and Kim Jong-il are good pals,....go figure!!

The aide said that guys like me were ''in what we call the reality-based community,'' which he defined as people who ''believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.'' I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ''That's not the way the world really works anymore,'' he continued. ''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.''
