HI Paul, Dam You just made me See what a stupid mistake I made, Love match was supposed to be a win bet, That's the honest truth, never mind my mistake, You really can make good money at this game but you really do have to put the time and effort in, let me give you a example of race today which looks a tough one to crack.

2:20 York the comments in the racing post are-----------

Master Macho and Imperialistic Diva have similar form prospects but they face potentially above-average newcomers in the shape of DA´QUONDE and Miss Mediator.

I would not agree with those comments,MASTER MACHO is what I call a sucker horse, This means that people will get sucked into backing each time he runs because he finished second 4 times and today is not going to be any different, He cost £5000,Imperialistic Diva cost only 7,500gns,.

The running comments for M.M. over 5F are.

San 5f Made most, driven over 1f out, stayed on but headed last stride

Haydock5F Led, ridden over 1f out, headed final 110yds, no extra close home

Leicester 5f

Chased leaders on far side, closed over 1f out, ridden entering final furlong, keeping on same pace when not clear run near finish (op 9-1)

These 3 running comments tell me that he was always DRIVEN, Or Ridden 1F out in my humble opinion 5F is not his trip. You should also note the nature of the 3 tracks, All 3 have a uphill finish where by York is a flat track. There are new comers in this race that cost big bucks, These 2 horses M.M and I.D. cost next to nothing compered to MISS MEDIATOR , DA´QUONDE, .So will the winner come from one of these 2??? again in my humble Opinion i would say no, the winner is likely to be Imperialistic Diva, I looked through all the races that M.M. and I.D. ran in, I looked at the all the horses that they fin-shed in front or behind, What was i looking for ?? I was looking for the purchase price!!! of the horses that Finished in front or behind these 2 horses, M.M Finished behind horses that were brought cheaply and the ones that finished in front were just as cheap, Look at I.D last race and you will see that she Finished behind some expensive buys
Ayr Result
27 May 2010

Where's Romeo 1ST Cost £14,000
Extra Power 37,000gns
Lexi's Hero 30,000
Imperialistic Diva 7,500 gns
Evening Dress190,000gns

M.M. at time of writing is available to back at 3.45, I.D. 4.10.

I would say that M.M. will not win and he will drift in the market, I.D will win and could also possibly drift maybe because of the support for the new comers, On the other hand I could get egg on my face and M.M may go on and win this race, But that's the nature of this tough game, Horses are not machines for all I know I.D. might have a bad hair day like most women do!!!, If I had Put this kind of thought process into all 21 selections I know I would have been right 21 times!!!

What has this post got to do with trading?

Yes I know you can and I have quite good knowledge in this area although I wouldn't class myself as professional.

Not the type of race I'd normaly touch with a barge pole, but to enter into the spirit of things, I'll give the nod to Easterby's "second" string Tilliemint
UPDATE: the warning signs were there when T drifted from 9s to 12s.
Good call on the winner Mr betfair !

In a race closer to my heart, I can't split Bucephalus or Rubipresent in the 2.00 at MR, so would be interested in a significant market move for oirish newcomer Royal Entourage
UPDATE: there wasn't any money for RE, so focus was on B & R. Couldn't split them and they came 1st & 2nd, half a length in it. The most pleasing thing about it was being correct in ignoring the false favourite Andahaar, a fkkking donkey

so my bet of the day would still have to Solway Sam in a tough looking novice hurdle, the the 20.15 at scousetree
UPDATE: Won 3/1

and across the watter, Cabernet Sauvignon seems to have been running in much best the best quality races than the others in the 19.15 at Wexford
UPDATE: 2nd

Hi there, I hope you don't think am trying to undermine your views on SOLWAY SAM , Hes form really dose warrant him been your best bet of the day, After all the horse he beat 12L went on to win his next race, However you should note the amount of weight he as to concede today, He as never won giving away so much weight before,I really like LAMBORO LAD comes from a good family and was purchased for £34000

hey betfair,
I know this was your thread,
I hope you don't mind me having posted my own thoughts ?
I just got so enthusiastic looking at form again that I got carried away.
Having worked in racing for years, you can't believe how much one misses it after it's got into your blood !!
If I ever do move back to the UK, perhaps once the kids reach High School age, I want to run a point-to-point yard.
Now THAT's real racing !!!!! :)

Saturday.
On a busy day of racing, there are only 2 races that interest me.
In the Listed race at Sandown, Red Avalanche is the class horse in the race, but will be dismissed by most people as lacks a recent run.
One of Mr Cole's gallops is ideal for preparing a horse for Sandown, so I wouldn't be surprised if he were fit enough, and the trainer isn't one to use the racecourse as a training ground.
UPDATE: plumb last :-(

In the real race with real horses, the 13:55 at Hexham, everyone will presumably focus on Durabella, dismissing Tharaya under his double penalty.
I don't know, if the rains holds off, and the grounds stays no worse than G-S, I've seen plenty of horses defy such big burdens in the past.
It's not that Tharaya is such a classy horse, the others are just so rubbish ........
UPDATE: Durabella just beat Tharaya. comme ci comme ca
