So my last lucky streak got me an VR6 Passat.

I haven't quite banked that much money this time around - but I want a reward and have a grand to blow. Problem is on what?

To give me some ideas - What would you spend it on it right now?

Since you've done the fast cars bit, isn't the conventional next step to go for loose women?

A nice watch. Something to admire while you're waiting for a trade at your desk.

- 1000 lottery tickets
- 100,000 penny sweets
- get high class escort to come visit for a few hours
- Maybe another computer
- Bigger monitors
- Use it to gamble more
- Go to bank and withdraw it and ask for it in 1p coins and then go back next day and ask to change it for 2p's

The dog idea may not be such a bad one. I may give in on the dog front soon - so I could get a weimaraner or summit rather than any old mut.

German shepherd to protect the fortune, or maybe a mastiff or something along those lines. Great dane too....

TBH - I go part time at work and move to Spain in just over a week so no need for a holiday.

Once we have finally settled the fact that it won't be a pug then we may get somewhere.

Had a look in a Jewellers earlier and I think the watch takes it. It's surprising how much some of those cost - a grand may not be enough!

Any suggestions for that price bracket?

Depends what sort of thing you're after, or whether you're getting one because you like it or just trying to show off. You can pick up some nice ones for a k or less. Check out the brand Rado if you're into the style. It really depends what you're after. But seems a bit of a waste of money to me unless it's something you're after, watches are pretty personal things.

Well i've got a Raymond Weil that was about £500 that was bought for me but (don't tell anyone) I don't like it that much but wear it all the time.

I want a decent watch that I can wear anywhere - on the beach, at the office - and not have to think about really. I am thinking about a TAG, but wondering if they were just a bit meh really. I like the golf one - sports ish if you know what I mean.

I remember liking Rado when I was thinking about watches ages ago - will have another look. Ta.

I almost got this one, but I was a bit disappointed the numbers weren't white. But I might get it at some point in time again if I can get another look. It's quite cool as they're scratch resistant too. If you like TAG then buy a TAG, doesn't really matter what other people think.

Yeah, that watch is quite cool actually. You posted same link twice though. It might be a bit over budget, but I don't think it'd be more than a few hundred £ over (just estimating.)

OK - I thought the link would show the the variations I like. I like the one it links too directly and then scroll on to the blue faced one. I think I prefer it wth a few bits on the face rather than minimal.
