What happened to this Black Swan character?

Forum advisors is a bit like politics. The ones who want to do it (unpaid in this case) are usually exactly the type of people you don't want doing it. Why would anyone give up their free time without remuneration to supervise a bunch of idiots on a forum, or people who just want to push it to the limit for lulz? When it's far more enjoyable and relaxing to just sit on the sidelines and watch the chaos and the mudslinging.

The only reason why you do something like this, is that you're a genuine good guy (Barjon type) or that you plan to use/abuse the position in some way.

Whatever you think of Black Swan (and I've accused him of being a fraud myself before) he was certainly provoked into getting banned here, and after that, I wouldn't blame him for not returning.

The good members (mr.marcus, thebramble, gammajammer etc) all seem to disappear, and the lulzmeisters never seem to leave.

The getting started article, states there are 3 categories of people who support the day to day running of t2w, staff, moderators and forum guides. It describes the role of the staff and moderators, and even lists who they are, but I cant find any information at all about the guides.

I remember that there where where a couple of guides who where know vendors, and a couple who belonged to the vendor without badge of shame category. I just checked, and those individuals at least are no longer flagged as guides (I've just be re readng the post where you argued there was no conflict of interest in a vendor being a guide) .

Who are the current forum guides ?

When the Forum Guides ceased to be (old, old news - about a year and a half ago now), I edited that post accordingly. It appears that I didn't do a very thorough job - thanks for bringing this to my attention - I'll amend it now!
