Off topic & off forex thread

Hello all,

I figured we should have a thread where we don't even have to chat about forex!

I'll kick off here.

What sports are you guys (and gals) into?

My first love is rugby (league and union), I haven't played league for the last 2 seasons (it's played in the summer down south) as 2 summers ago I was watching the Lions tour and this summer I had my knee-cap ripped off in the final game of the union season, i'm hoping to be back playing before the end of the year. I was going to play AFL this summer instead of league though as rugby league is just a brutal game and brutal on the body.

Also love watching (in no particular order) footie, NFL, AFL, gaelic, hurling, MMA and wrestling.
I probably watch NFL the most, mainly cos my missus is asleep before me on a sunday night and it's the only sport on.

Like you RT, my first love is rugby, mainly union but enjoy league too. I've been playing for 35 years (I'm now 46) and still turn out for my local vets side whenever we have a game. We try to limit it to maximum one every other Saturday - we're too old and knackered to play every week!! I also help to coach the U14s that my son now plays for and am starting my Level 1 coaching course on Wednesday, so should be Level 1 qualified by the end of the month.

I also enjoy watching the NFL and am going to Wembley at the end of this month to see my team, the Broncos, play against the 49ers.

I'm fed up with football, can't stand the falling over and histrionics when a player brushes past another player. Other than that, watch pretty much any sport if I have the time. I also like a flutter on the horses and have a few profitable (and some unprofitable) systems that I use for a lot of entertainment (and a little reward).

I hope your knee is better soon and you get a chance to play before the end of the year. Take your time and don't rush back, you know it makes sense.

Cheers
Chris

I was introduced to rugby at the age of 11(union)....pure barbarism if you ask me An excuse for the teachers to abuse children.

Used to follow the football..went to the United v Rangers match on a corporate freebie the other week, the prawn sandwiches were the highlight...

Been scuba diving for the last 10 years, I'm a BSAC dive leader and assistant instructor. No competitiveness, no corporate sponsorship, no audience, just good mates you trust your life with, just concentrate on your bouyancy and breathing

As a 'relatively' young retiree, and being Scottish, my main pastime is golf - which we continueto play during the winter as we enjoy living in Florida for 6 months from Nov to April.

No too old to play football but love following the game - especially Glasgow Rangers which means a regular early morning trip to Tampa Bay Rangers Supporters Club in Florida.

Other passion is playing bridge - helps keep the brain going.

Gordon
(PS - envious of your trip to see United / Rangers peterf)

But as a Rangers supporter is was a great result!!!! We are skint up here - both us and the other minor team in Glasgow have fan bases as big as any in Europe but due to SKY TV money we cannot compete with the big 4 European leagues.....
