When the HOME markets are awake.....eg 8am UK to 9pm UK eg when the UK then the US markets are trading

Does USD/GBP and EUR/USD move parallel simultaneously?

Yes and No.

If it's something negative for the $ then GBPUSD and EURUSD should both rally, BUT if it's somehing negative for GBP then USD may rise against GBP but not EUR as it's GBP specific

Thanks!
Hope that helps

Hi,
More than 1/3 of all FX transactions are cleared in London I believe, therefore 7-4 BST is where a lot of action happens for all pairs, thereafter until US close as foredog pointed for USD activity.
As for GBP/USD and EUR/USD moving in a parallel fashion, open up a EUR/GBP chart and you will see it's been nothing of a constant.
