Broker I havent heard of with good reviews

I see you live in the UK, as do I.
This is how I do it.
www.betonmarkets.com = fixed-odds financial bookmakers. You place your bet, from 2 quid upwards, knowing your total loss is your stake. There's a wide range of bets. I like them.
www.igindex.com. spread-betting finacial bookmakers. You are the market-maker: they bet against you. Simple as that. I rarely use them.
Because both of the above are considerd bookmakers, and you are in effect gambling, any profit is free of CG and IT in the UK.
www.fxpro.com. Based in Cyprus. Like you, I looked long and hard to find a frexx broker that I felt comfortable with. I decided on fxpro, and have had not cause to regret my decision.
Hope this helps.

fxpro are a dealing desk which is what I dont want.

Trying to decide on a broker. Alot of the popular ones dont seem to get great reviews eg IGindex. Just found this

www.bestonlineforexbrokers.com/Online-Forex-Brokers/Forex-Broker-Ratings/Top-Rated-Forex-Brokers.html

Any know anything about those higher rated ones? Im struggling to decide who to go with

Thanks

Beware of any reviews posted online, they can easily be manipulated by the company posing as members of the public. Also bear in mind that offshore companies may not be well regulated and if they go bust you may have no protection.

Trade futures with a US discount broker. Margins are quite low
and you are trading Direct Access.

Velocity
Mirus
Infinity
Openecry

Dukascopy have a good reputation, I think. $50,000 minimum to open an account?
Beware UK based fx brokers who claim FSA compliance. The small print sometimes gives them the right to move your profits outside the UK: and beyond the reach of the FSA.

Hi pboyles,
Very true.
This is why we have invested a lot of time and effort developing our own in-house T2W Reviews section. The 'Brokers' section now has well over 100 listings! So, everyone, please post your reviews to help fellow members make informed choices about their trading products and services. Also, please state whether existing reviews are helpful or unhelpful to you. If there are any omissions in any of the categories - just contact me and I'll add them. Equally, please give me your feedback about what you like / don't like about the Reviews section and how it could be improved.
Thanks,
Tim.
