Hi all,

You probably get trillions of these types of posts but if you can help out one more member then all the better :)
I have a naive plan to explore the murky world of forex and I want to use the MetaTrader4 platform to experiment.
there is a wealth of Metatrader4 brokers out there to choose from. I can't choose IG because I work there :). Can someone please give me some ideas of a good broker for a UK resident. One with low spreads and reasonable customer support that doesn't scam it's clients using that Meta Quotes system I was reading about?

Cheers,

Jamie

You can try on my broker. Which is ForexMart. They offer good bonuses ans contest that can help you have free capital.. But for you to make it grow and never experience loss. start on learning all important details about forex trading. Knowledge will help us create effective and profitable trading strategy.

UK traders have the freedom to choose any broker however it is getting hard to distinguish among brokers as many brokers starts with every day and some of the brokers ends too. I guess there still some good brokers available online which are established brokers like ********, fxcm etc and some are new but performing good like lmfx. I suggest checking their reviews too while finalizing any broker.

Hi Jamie! I'm also from the UK and I've been using LQDFX for the past few months. Their customer support has always been efficient and their spreads are tight. They also offer the MT4 platform you're after.

@jamie1029, dont listen to anyone. At least not from a public forum. Try to get familiar with a few real forex traders in you city. Meet with them or talk over phone. Or just look for brokers in different scam reporting sites. If you dont find any complain against a certain broker, go for it!

@kizir007 Your advice not to listen to anyone on a public forum means he shouldn't listen to you either meaning that you are contradicting yourself by offering advice in the first place.

So you work for IG forex broker but don't know how brokers work? Sounds very strange unless you are here to promote it

I allow a chance you meant something different from what your post tells so I can advice you to go with Ноtforex or FXCM, they are both good for newbies as well as for seasoned guys.

1. Interactive Brokers, Saxo Bank,
2. FxCM, ********, FxPro

I trade with Нotforex it treats me well although its offers access only to CFD. I want to try more on futures or options as their brokers have more tools for analyzing the market.

We the traders should choose the broker that is more appropriate to the concept of trading that will be used; if you love scalping should choose the broker that allows trading concept such as this.
True words. I also think traders should choose brokers according to their trading strategies too. They should also choose brokers that offer greater tolerance for the size of their capital. For example, you may not be able to survive even with $500 if you are using some brokers and that is alot of money in some parts of the world.

My favourite pairs are eurusd and gbpusd.

broker to choose

It is crucial that you choose a fair Forex broker as there are a lot of Forex brokers turning lawful and illegal at the similar instance. It is surely not essential that all brokers deliver their clients with identical packages. You should choose a broker cautiously while pick a broker with reliable & rational Forex management bearing the merchant’s needs.

I tried to join ETX but they have made so many fences to climb that I have virtually given up. Don't seem to want customers - oh well !

Yes some of them are really strict in the process of accepting clients. Much because of bureaucracy, regulations etc. No guarantees they will deal with requests and issues appropriately as their attitude can be seen already from registration process. Competition is the only drives the quality up in trading services.

Personally I am on tickmill platform, recently they've obtained FCA license a clear sign they are here for long term. Trading services are excellent IMO. The only drawback which is out of their scope is low leverage restricted by FCA, but hopefully I will find means to establish serious trading with them.

Perhaps one should use a ECN broker. Not one that makes its own market ?

Hello
Here is a list you take a look at, most of the forex broker of this is Regulated by FCA and offers very good trading condition for trading types and have good res respects of traders who have used the services Best Forex Borkers 2017.

These ratings are paid there are no sense to seek for objectivity in it. Better to gather trading feedbacks and sort out genuine orders from them.

Tickmill have just got a London FCA rating. But I haven't tried them personally yet.
