I'm looking for a broker that is free for training in trading forex. I've no experience what so ever in forex, only in stocks.

Preferably online Any suggestions?

I'm not into all the lagging indicators etc. but need a decent interface where I can have my own trading account for free and only for learning.

Most retail brokers offer accounts that only need funding. The premium brokers require [N] lots a month to use the platform for free or else you are required to pay.

New to Stocks but I've traded Forex. In Forex there are days when certain types of news announcements can be counted on to affect the market drastically. So much so that I would make sure I was out of the market while the news hit. Do stocks have those types of announcement days, and if, what types of announcements are they?

In stocks I'll be trading the Daily timeframe, holding anywhere from days to months. Just fyi in case that's pertinent info.

Are you new to forex or stocks ?!

Just another one of the recent bunch of idiots invading t2w. The OP was just banned for a day or 2. I guess it's been lifted.

I went to google.com and didn't see any mention of forex there. and no link on the side to click either. Must be some bad info.

yes, you can find many online tutorials, google, youtube, download some basics before you start your forex "career", I suggest you to read a book "How I Trade For A Living" written by Gary Smith.

before you open a live account, you can start a demo account to feel how it works and learn from the real practices.

remember there is no shortcut to be successful, learning from a novice to be a professional need years of time.

so take your time and have fun!
