Just had a call that Binexx is being wound up and that CityIndex will have some binary on their home site from next week.

Interesting. Do you know whether they will be doing this as a betting exchange or as a bookmaker like binarybet ?

It will not be as an exchange, they will be making the prices just the same as IG, binarybet and Finspreads.

it goes live on the 16th Jan according to their terms & conditions

in separate news, www.worldspreads100.com has launched, but it is just IG/binarybet.com trading under yet another name.

anyone heard of other ones being launched any time soon? new binary bet launches are usually great opportunities to make a quick bit of cash, for the first week or two anyway while they sort their odds out

I've just had a chat with a guy on the help desk of binarybet about worldspreads to see what the difference is between the 2 companies. From what he said it seems that worldspreads is not part of the IG group. He said it was a 'white label' arrangement (an expression that I was not familiar with). The deal is, as I understand that Worldspreads have a feed off the the IG binary computer and use their prices, presumably for a fee. If all this is right , then the very successful punters who after making a killing, find it difficult to trade with IG/BB because they get switched to manual - could open up a new account with worldspreads.

I got some new City Index T&C's last week, but who ever reads T&C's?

Had I have bothered to read them I would have spotted that the market information booklet has details of the new Binary Bets (page 10&11).

The main change appears to be that they are moving back to the cash market for the hourly FTSE bet. They are also using the hour, as opposed to the half hour.

Other changes have been made to the handicap markets.

One thing to watch for is that the hourly appears to close 2 minutes before the hour, unlike IG, binary bet & Finspreads.

Hi see city are max £25 p/p and looks like all trades are manual. They are holding trades for longer than is comfortable and rejecting on minor moves - this is worse then binexx.

Anyone else trading with them?

i'll give them a go when they launch their hourly markets (they said in a few weeks time), although i'll proceed with extreme caution.

They've already got the Dow hourlies, launched a couple of days ago.

They don't seem to have as many 'no prices' as binexx used to suffer, especially when the spot moves through the strike, so if you keep your size below £10/pt (as with IG) then should get a fill.

I think you will find it hard to get a fill when the hourly is moving. City Bins is like a manual IG account.

Looks as if IG/Binarybet are winning hands down. Max of £100 and much wider range of contracts. It will be interesting to see how things develop.

Yes, things are pretty bad when we have to admit that IG/BB are the best lol

Yes, been manual for over a year I think. Actually got used to it and can normally tell if I am going to get filled or not.

are you on manual on IG/BB?

Direct access

Sorry if I'm on the wrong thread here but I'm not sure where to ask this!

Many people say about using Direct Access rather thean the SB's - how can you trade binary options as Direct Access?

You can't trade them directly unless you set up a binary company or a firm allows you to tap into their API like Betfair.
