hi all,
I use IG Index for trading mainly the DOW, FTSE and DAX.
I am unable to get any volume figures using their charts for these Indices so was wondering if anyone could recommend any sites that show volume data on the charts for these markets?

cheers lads
tenbobtrader- could i get intraday volume figures anywhere or do i need to pay/subscribe for this information. i'd like to see the volume as the price changes by the second, real time. is this possible?
IG seem to supply all info but this
would you recommend i use different charts to IG's in order to improve my trading?
cheers for your time

Just download a demo MetaTrader - for example FXPro.com - right click in the Market Watch window and click 'Show all' open up the FTSE chart (currently FFIZ9) and press Ctrl + L on your keyboard to show the volume. You can have tick by tick or 1 minute chart upwards.

All for free.

No, FXPro demo lasts forever. Most MT4 demos can be indefinitely renewed with a couple of mouse clicks.

Awesome trick, £10kLoser!

So can the same method be used to potentially view volume for any market, even commodities? I'm particularly interested in gold, silver & oil futures, and gold & silver mining stocks.

Cheers,
WT

Absolutely - there's no need to pay for a data feed. I'm not sure about silver ming stocks but FXPro does have quite a lot of stocks included.

All the MT4 brokers do but a few only last 30 days and you can't renew. I think you'll find that FXPro.com has one of the largest selection of instruments.

cheers 10kloser, just managed to successfully download the metatrader, appreciate that
