Hi again.... I'm trading the LSE and keep getting messages in the news section on stocks I'm watching... Can any one let me know what they are and what significance they have for the shares they pertain to.

1) Rule 8.1 ( I've googled it but all I get is the rule 8.1 details for various companies)
2) Price monitoring extention (first/ second/ third)
3) EPT Disclosure
4) Blocklisting interim review

Thanks.
Chris.

Not 100% on all of these but here goes

Rule 8.1...something to do with change in shareholder % when stocks in bid situation (eg fidelity have 8.1%of XYZ which is being bid for by ABC, fidelity buy another 1% so have report going through the next %)

PRice monitoring extension.....during an auction (usually end of day one) if the uncrossing price is more than 5% from last AT trade at end of 5 mins the preriod is extended

EPT exempt party transaction...disclosure by market makers who have poistion in stock in bid situations etc

Blocklisting...never really sure what it is but not very important really i think

Rule 8 is disclosure of change of disclosable stake. I think 8.1 is to do with derivatives and 8.3 is short selling. You cannot always see whether it is a disposable or acquisition so possibly academic.
Price monitoring extension is when the auction doesn't have the desired effect on establishing the proper price.
EPT is exempt principal trader. Principle traders are exempt from such rules as short selling and holdings triggering a compulsory takeover situation.
Blocklisting review is something like a periodic review of shares that have previously been issued say for a pension sceme.

I am not sure whether any are terribly significant announcements as far as effect on share price.
