Whats a good spreadbet broker/retailer in the UK. That I should be using with sooo many out there.

Whats the best number 1 for retail traders trying to beat the markets.

So for example the equivalent for online poker would be to open an account with Pokerstars.

Who should I be with for spread betting. Can any recommend please?

Also I don't wanna use count downs or sprint markets (binary products, as it simplying enticing me to gamble capital away)..

Thanks

I'm with LCG, originally Capital Spreads. Their platform took a bit of getting used to and is a little quirky but its stable and versatile with a wide range of TA tools, plus one-click trades from the chart if that appeals.

Do you have your own checklist of essential features that traders with various SB providers can respond to?

Thanks for responding. I don't have a check list not really thought about it that much. I am complete novice, I am just trying to find the best site out that the majority of retail traders use. As they say go drink where the locals drink and not the tourist , if that makes sense.

You can open a demo account with any SB provider and test out their platform / service. Whichever you go for for a real account I highly recommend one that's UK-based so that at least you know they are subject to a decent regulator and enforceable laws of contract.

Thanks v much. I am demo with IG and CMC but that because I see their brand names on the news and web searches so hoping their reputable and not turning me over.

Having typed that LCG's platform is so good, I seem to have jinxed it. This am its showing about £14k of profit that is obviously down to incorrect price inputting. No doubt this will be corrected soon - but it gave me a nice surprise when I logged on today.
