I'm new to this business and still in the "conscious, unconscious" learning stage. There seems much in the way of negatives towards Vince Stanzione's offerings, but does anyone have experience/opinions on John C Burfords system please?

Hi Nordivad,

I follow John's blog and his Moneyweek Trader emails. His philosophy of keeping it simple resonates with me and the methods sit comfortably.

I found my way to parallel channels, momentum, Elliott Waves and Fibonacci before I found his content. The tools he uses are well documented (like most TA) across the web. The advantage of the parallel channels is that it makes entry decisions, stop placement and target setting relatively straightforward.

The real value for me though is that he is vastly more experienced and visibly trading a method similar to mine. In the absence of a mentor it is perhaps the next best thing. He has definitely helped me to improve with freely shared content. I'd suggest checking out the vidoes and seeing if it something that you think you would feel comfortable with. I have learnt a great deal even from the things I have discarded.

Ultimately it will be a very personal thing. Only you will be able to figure out if it is comfortable for you and something you can work with. I had to try a few things before I found something I could stick with long enough to start to improve.

Good luck.

Bless you for your comments and feedback ZaBu, it's very clear and makes sense what you are telling me. I have viewed many of John's videos and am rather with his relaxed and confident style of teaching. Many thanks and may you have a successful 2014.
