I subscribe to sharescope, could someone please tell me how i get my sharescope data into metastock every day please?

Set Default Template for each Periodicity

Seem an obvious thing to want to do but I can't figure it out. I've set a default template, but really I want a default template for Monthly, Weekly, Daily graphs. So when I change the periodicity in a chart - it doesn't moan about the indicators not working because it is showing the wrong ones. How do I setup Metastock to use a template based on the periodicity of what is being opened?

Does anybody know how the Metastock could output the signal data to the text file?

for instance:
[Date], [Time], [Open], [High], [Low], [Close], [text]
20091111, 1005000, 12000, 12500, 11800, 12300, Buy
20091111, 1125000, 12200, 12400, 11900, 12700, Sell

Metaload Help

I have used metaload along with sharescope to convert my data into metastock format.

I have just had to change my computer and now Metaload wont work as it is registered to the individual computer code and i believe the sellers of this software are no longer in business.

Can anyone suggest another easy data conversion programme to convert my sharescope data. I am looking for Uk data.

Hi

I have just got (few weeks ago) MetaTrader, and have been trying to get to grips with it so i can do what i want, but i think i am really missing something, so help.

1) First off, an easy one i guess, for example i do a backtest with the tool on a built in indicator. What happens is it executes 4 trades over 12mths (but looking at the chart there are at least 5 times the signals). But what i want it to do is execute when there is a buy and sell signal. I want to some how put a SL/TP point in, say 20pts and take profit and then wait for a buy or sell. I too want to build in 2pts spread so that it is like the platform i am running.

2) I have been getting data from Yahoo, and converting it as i am a cheap skate. My problem is, if i use for example 10 years of backdata, the dates some how skip. For example i import 10 years of data from 6 nov 1999 to 6 nov 2009, but when i view the data, the dates go from 6 nov 1999 to 3 june 2009. The data that is listed for 2 june 2009 is the data that should be 6 nov 2009, but some how dates have been lost, any idea on how to correct this?

3) Is there any resource on creating a custom indicator, free if possible? I want to transfer my system from Excell to MS11, but i am not sure how to go about codeing this, if its possible?

Lots of questions, so sorry, and just hope they make some sense?

4) Has metastock improved your win/loose ratio? and made you more/less profit?

I chose MS over VectorVest and ESignal, dont know if i did the right thing, but sure i will find out and a take a peak at the others if it dont work out.

Market Internals - No Data?

I have been adding some market internals to my charts such as NYSE New Highs New Lows and McClellan Oscillator. However the data for these appears to stop in April 2008. Do other Metastock users have the same problem or is it only me?

Esignal Spread in METASTOCK

Hi

I have created a spread in esignal and assigned a symbal (1CA) when i put this symbal into a esignal quote screen i get a realtime quote for my spread and can open up a realtime advanced chart in esignal.

However i can not open a new graph in metastock using the symbal "1CA" says invalid security, metastock help say it wont ready it as its a spread, anyone know of a way around this?

I remember somehow that it was resembled Volatility Stop.
