Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a platform that let you deal according to TA?
For example I want to set an order if the MA is higher than the previous bar buy if it is lower sell...

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me out here..

Ive sent them (ProRealTime) an email asking the below questions but never recieved a response back from them.

Im using ETX Capital as my broker, but for chart analysis I use prorealtime. So, I look at PRT charts, make my decisions, and then head over to ETX and attempt to set alerts etc for trading but..

1. I continually seem to have what I think may be a timezone difference between the two charts, which makes it difficult for me to effectively place trades. Does anyone else have this problem and is there something I can do to fix this? Please see attached for an example. I think theres a small pattern emerging in that it looks like PRTs EOD closes earlier than ETX.

2. the volume data seems to have stopped in Sept for FTSE on PRT.. Anyone else having this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

edit: btw, the attached charts are both FTSE daily.. and I use PRT for the charting facilities. I might not have an understanding that experienced traders have so pls point me in the right direction if you can :-)

Hi all

Just been looking at prospreads.com, and what they offer seems very good.

I have been reading their website, and done a search on them on T2W...

However, i have a question.

On their website, they say all their charges are included in the spread - as usual. But then they offer Direct Market Access - which is supposed to get you inside the spread - thus eliminating their pay/commision/charges.

How is this possible?

I quote from the FAQs:

"Q: Does ProSpreads charge commission on electronic betting?
A. No. We derive our income from making a spread around the price of the underlying security."

Does this mean they are manipulating the price - even though they are claiming direct market access/clear market prices?

Thanks
Matt:|

Tradefair - If anyone was thinking of opening an account with Tradefair, perhaps they could PM me for a referral code and get £75 when they open the account. I would then get £50.

Are they any good? Well, after TD mentioned their reduced spreads a few weeks ago I thought I'd give them a try. They do certainly have good spreads on EUR/USD, cable, and EUR/GBP. Also Bobl is only 2 (Bund is 3). Haven't checked others extensively, but that's good enough to be going on with.

The platform is a bit on the noddy side, but to be honest, that kind of suits me. It seems to do the job. It seems responsive, and I've not had any problems. I'm only trading small on it though. I don't know what it's like if and when you scale up. However, so far, I have no complaints.
