Thanks in advance for your help

Ive got one of those questions that will probably make me look a bit stupid, but as the saying goes - "the only stupid question is the one you dont ask!"

So here goes.... If I bought NZD/USD i would benefit from the interest rate differential, so could i use spread betting account to short the same pair as a hedge? therefore just picking up the interest on the long position without risk of the price diving on me.

thanks!

System is home grown and do not claim any claims of making trillions or millions.
it has been tested on es ym eurusd audusd gbpusd
its based on momentum and price pressure.
it uses following:
EMAs for filtering
momentum (my calculation) for direction
entry points - targets for profit (dynamic) .
exits are based on volatility as well as hard stops (e.g. points or pip based).
yellow = enter short
green = enter long
P:XXXX = pofit target
cyan dot = target reached.
magenta = you might want to get out if you have not.

oh and the candle bars are also developed by me. they are not heiki ashi or ttm . they are also based on
momentum and are smoothed out to reduce noise.

This message contains my own opinion, it's your money, do what you want.

But I will say this ... don't buy into the hype!

The whole correllation code nonsense being hawked online as the next big thing is nothing more than my own Daisy Chain strategy that I give away FOR FREE.

At this post here:
http://www.trade2win.com/boards/fore...trategies.html

We've got someone talking about correlation trading techniques.

BUT DON'T TRADE CORRELATED PAIRS UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!

the plain and simple fact of the matter is that right now, most highly correlated pairs are BROKEN. EURUSD and GBPUSD has regularly and consistently been moving in opposite directions for the last 4 weeks and that situation can reoccur at any time until well into the middle of January.

EURUSD and GBPUSD are two of the most highly correlated pairs there is.

NZDUSD and AUDUSD are doing THE SAME THING.

ditto for EURJPY and GBPJPY.

So if you want to learn about trading correlated pairs, then just get daisy chain for nothing. Just google "daisy chain trading" ... my site is the one that says "V2.0 - daisy Chain Trading" and you can download the entire system for nothing (no strings) and watch a bunch of videos on it as well.

But like I said, that's just my opinion.

chart patterns
trend lines
MA's
oscillators
etc., etc., etc.

that would be great as it will keep the thread 'on message' so to speak!!

Also, as Tenbob called it in Part 1, 'paper-tiger' trading is more than welcome. Some of us from the previous thread are already doing this sort of thing for real, but others may still be seeing if it fits with them so hopefully this can be a place to experiment and discuss, as well as just post countless charts of our successes or (in my longer timeframe adventures) failures!!

I'd also like to see if we can look a little more at money and trade management as this seems to be rarely discussed. In my own trading to date, the thing I have found is that I tend to always look at my first entry as a shot across the bows - it's what happens next that seems to dictate if I end up making money or not. In other words, loading up on the winning trades and cutting the losing ones quickly. It would be great to hear / see others' views on this.

To anyone reading this who hasn't read the previous thread, I have found that this style of trading (to those it suits) can be incredibly relaxing in some ways and, to this end, it would be great if this thread could reflect that. In other words, arguments, attitude, egos, flamers etc. aren't welcome here IMVHO. For me, trading this way is about horizontal levels of price and the more horizontal I get, the more laid back I get :)

All the best
