Hi mn,

Quote:
DiskTrading Historical Data Download Server: FOREX, Indices, Futures - Intraday and Daily Market Data - Customer Download Accounts

$20 for what you require, including also I think per tick, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, and 1d data.

I bought some the other month, very helpful people.

Found this might want to have a look, you can buy packages relatively cheap and or single symbols for about $20. People seem to be happy with it, just type disktrading into the search function for more feedback. This is about the best I can find, I think free data is not a viable option considering the time it takes to find. I am just going to pay for what I need and save myself the hassle.

Mn, I found something which maybe of use. It is not 100% free but if you are just backtesting and want some data there is a solution.

Download US, Canadian EOD Futures Data, Continuous Contracts - CBOT, CME, COMEX, NYBOT

Download and request trial (14 days) (login: demo; pwd: demo)

This will give you access to 5 exchanges with all the futures you can imagine. I just did a bactch download and will use the data for a little testing. The price is reasonable I think £7 per month. Have a read.

This is a sample in metastock of Gold Continuous (2 years) and a full coverage of rolling contracts.

Give me a shout if you have probs, if the datafeed is acceptable we can maybe chip in and share a login

Yes I think it is basic EOD data for a reasonable price!

No I have the trial for MLdownloader. I just completed a thesis and used yloader.com very similar programme and it is a little more manual in that you have to write your symbols list. I covered the whole of the SSE and the list took me 30 mins to create. On top of that as I only cover a few stocks it is the best option for me.
