Hi everyone!

I have a question for you about the best path to study TA. Sounds like it has been asked 100 times, I know, but I haven't seen any threads on this perspective...

So, what if i start studying TA as I was studying for CMT (Chartered Market Technician) level 1-2-3 exams? Follow their study guide and the books they reccomend?
http://docs.mta.org/cmt/reading/cmt-level1-fall2012.pdf
http://docs.mta.org/cmt/reading/cmt-level2-fall2012.pdf
http://docs.mta.org/cmt/reading/cmt-level3-fall2012.pdf
these are the books they recommend for level 1, 2 and 3.

Like do you think if one follows the "professional" path, you would get the most complete picture of the TA science? these books are preparing you for a professional certification, so the materials must be good!

Or do you think it's an overshoot to study all those?

In my opinion this is a very good way to get your hand on the right boks, since these are reccomended by MTA.

What do you guys think? Any personal\friend experience doing this?

And another question, what would you consider to be the best book to start, so the first one ever to read on TA, so it doesn't get frustrating to read due to lack of basics?

Thank you all! :):smart:
