Lots of equity and fx guys here....anybody looking at energy?

Either way, I'm long Aug Brent Crude at 13250. Limit 13650. I'll be out if it breaks 13050.

Planning to close 1/2 at $133.50 ( if the price goes retraces that far ) and will moving stop on rest to B/E

Don't kick too hard Atrim....it happens.

A quick strong move up out of the $132 area. Limit was hit and now flat.

Short Aug Brent Crude at $137. Stop at 139.70 Looking for a $133ish at some point before Friday. Either way I'll be out by close of play tomorrow considering the summit this weekend.

No. I'm a newbie. I just take random punts.

best market in the world this one!

not too sure about taking random punts but just go with your gut feeling and be prepared to get abolsutely hammered every now and again. afer all a good loss keeps you on your toes!

I've grabbed a long again too. Hopefully this bottom in line with yesterday and Tuesday will hold. Waited a bit too much before clicking the button so currently 25 points in red.

for me an entry anywhere between 132 and 133 is a good entry. I guess it depends on how much in the red your stomache can take though! you should be a good few points up though now

OK its loooking better now. I'd like to get 100 plus points. I keep clicking close when I have 50 or so. I need to be more patient/brave/greedy....

Not sure how newbie you are but....

I'd suggest covering your positions bit by bit and move your stop up accordingly. In this trade I'm shooting for 250 points. I will cover 1/2 at 100pts and let the rest run taking another 1/4 off the table when the price moves up by another 50 and then the final 1/4 will be left on for another 50 or so.

If the price moves up 99pts and then comes straight back down to my entry so what...it makes little difference as you an always fire another few lots out there.

I'm pretty green [new] at this so dont be shy with the advice. I'm a bit confused by the prices today as I've used a different site for my bets because it has tighter spreads and quicker execution. However the charts I look at are for US light crude and the one I'm betting on is called NYMEX light crude. They appear to move the same but the prices are different.
