Can somebody tell me of good honest firms that deal in DMA trading? What sort of funds you need to start trading and, are commisions less than buying and selling shares from internet stoke brokers like Etrade, barclays stock brokers and the rest of them?

there has been a number of threads questioning the integrity of SBs!
(although I have yet to experience any excessive requotes or hassles.)

my long term trading plans require me to spread some of my funds to DMA.

are there any other DMA providers out there, other than IB ??
(the IB website gives "Page Not Found" when I select "Account minimums" and other pages)

thanks.

PS: must have UK office/phone contact numbers, and ideally FSA-regulated.

EDIT: I trade FX, and some indices. Not bothered about stocks, etc.

Shares/ Futures: Interactive Brokers Adv. Prop Platform - good price/ value ratio
Shares/ Futures/ Options: MB Trading Adv. Prop Platform - good price/ value ratio

Tradeking is a newcomer, cool staff; very innovative - maybe a try worth

CFD: IG Markets, GNI Touch

I'm in the same boat since the demise of FuturesBetting.Com, anyone prepared to recommend an FSE regulated UK based DMA broker for Eurex Stoxx & Bunds?

At Interactive Brokers we support Direct Market Access to over 70 global exchanges e.g., Eurex product.

Our costs

$10,000 initial deposit
$10 minimum brokerage fee per month
Brokerage fees vary per exchange (e.g., EUR 2.00 per side, all in, Eurex futures)
Market data feeds in real-time and vary per exchange.
We pay interest on funds on deposit => $10,000

But please do not take our word for it as we strongly recommend to all of our prospective clients to compare our offering to other brokers. That is, if you find a better, cheaper and more secure broker than us we suggest you take it; Otherwise visit our website for more details www.interactvebrokers.co.uk

Thanks for that but I don't really want to go for a US company (onerous paperwork + don't want the IRS snooping on my affairs)

I'm in a similar quandary. IB's UK site seems to be as clear as mud about what how everything works re. funds transfers, costs, etc, and the demo platform isn't impressive.

Anyone here use InteractiveBroker?

Interested to know the reliabilty for the website, The tools they provide etc.
Peoples opinions who use their website.

I went to check their website and they had an issue with the home page.
It finally came good but reliability would concern me and is important for any internet based
trading platform...DMA or not.

Cheers!

For your reference we are unaware of any problems with our website.
Our technology is independent of our website e.g., we provide an executable and web application.

Exactly in opposite. You does not support IE7. Your technical team tells it loud and clear - install Firefox and we will talk further. Until that - we cannot help.

Read my ordeal documentary just here: http://www.trade2win.com/boards/brokerages/31969-ib-my-personal-experience.html

Dont believe me? Lets meet up somewhere in the City in lunch time, I will bring my umpc or you can bring your laptop and we can try my application for US Futures to get through.

Bring it on!

P.S. Everything is in the log on my account. If you think I am exaggerating - look into the account and see yourself. 14 days to get a trading permission and still doesnt work. Want my account ID?

Maxima

We agree we do not support Internet Explorer 7, rather 6. The aforementioned is clearly denoted in our website under minimum specifications Trader Workstation

I assume my colleagues may have been providing you suggestions (e.g., install Firefox as an alternative to IE7) in order to get your laptop/PC to run our Trader Workstation. Again, we support an executable TWS that you can run from your laptop/PC.

Respectfully we are only trying to help.

You may try logging into your account from a PC that meets our minimum requirements. If you are still having problems please send us a private message and we will try to assist.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation.

Have a nice day.

Well again. I have no problem with TWS.

Problem with account management website. And I tried 'recommended' Firefox it still doesnt work.

I cannot place trade on US futures as I dont have trading permission. And when I request it from your website it doesnt appear in your backoffice albeit I have all green OK buttons (I sent screenshot of all pages I went through using Firefox to your tech support through a ticket).
