HI Guys,

I have recently opened an account with Degiro and all seems good apart from 1 thing.

Apparently you cant place a stop loss on a trade until the trade has been executed, meaning that from the time the trade is executed to the time you get to a computer you are at risk with no SL.

I have tried entering opposite orders against the trade but the system doesn't allow this.

Does anyone use them / know a way to place a stop loss at the same time as your limit order?

They do offer CFDs etc so not sure if i have to come up with some complex way of working out a stop loss.

But any help would be appreciated,

Many thanks,

Wheeler

Thanks Nero,

I have read through the link but can't see any xplanation as to how I can place STOP losses with initial limit order
Thats the last of your problems.

'''The seller received confirmation, he sold two contracts. But customer A on the bid did not buy any options at all. While he was in front of everybody else, with the best price in the market. What happened? Instead of internalizing orders between clients A and B, the HiQ hedgefund came between them. Some more puts were sold, but the client with the 6 cent bid received nothing. Here’s the screenshot from DeGiro of the seller, customer B.

WRONG AT MANY LEVELS

This is wrong at so many levels.

First of all, clients of DeGiro can’t trade against order clients of DeGiro. My friend is customer of DeGiro, he gave the best bid in the market. He can’t receive a fill from other DeGiro customers. HiQ takes all. Other customers will have missed executions as well. Problem is, nobody knows it. No client sees the full picture. The customer with the bid receives no fill (but nothing traded in screen). The seller gets a fill (all fine, no reason to investigate). Only hedgefund HiQ sees everything.

DeGiro is effectively saying, f*ck the clients – we give all orders crossing the bid-ask spread to our own hedgefund.'''

Well if you didht understand what the link said, good luck with them

You should never trade cfds, interactive brokers are the best but their platform is a little complicated,i dont think you will fing better than them
