Hi

I'm new to trading , I've been and done a course , I've done the spread betting thing now I'm looking for a broker .

After doing a bit of research online and seeing how expensive uk brokers are , I thought I would try with amp futures .

I emailed them and they supplied me with the wrong account details to fund my account . Long story short , I got my money back (it took a month) and to be fair to them they really helped out with getting the funds back (so they should)

Now I'm looking to *fund my amp account once again and they can't give me clear instructions (ridiculous I know )

So , does anyone here use them and if so , please give me some clarity

why not just mail them some money ?............that cuts out the time trading and losing ?

reading the account funding instructions on their website I don't see how it all went or indeed could go wrong. it is quite clear which bank the funds have to be sent depending on the currency and location of the individual concerned

how on earth do you lose an account !!?

if you have your account login details just go to the amp website and enter them, it surely couldn't be easier than that, can it??

Standard responses that I would expect from the sort of no mark ******s that tend to frequent these Internet forums . Thanks for your usefull comments

Not even my bank could make sense out of their funding instructions. So thanks again for useful comments . Why have I posted here ?

all they had to do was send some money to rbs in London, obviously someone clowned up, so either change your bank if they're useless, else go find another broker.

I've edited your post so you no longer look a complete idiot who can't find his account.

good luck funding it (y)

How you've managed to edit his post are you a moderator again ?

hi mate, no not exactly, just helping out deleting spam and ads etc, so spam janitor a more appropriate title.

as you know that means I can edit/ban etc too but refrain from getting involved in that, that's proper badged moderators tasks and rightly so (y)

Well, you sure have a sharp tongue - guess you better find your own solution then.

Wow , you are the man indeed ..... Hopefully one day you will be a fully fledged moderator ...... The people you get on these forums , unbelievable . Edit this to say something nice if you want lol

When I requested to close my account someone at Amp went into my account and made trades on it.

They were quickly opened and closed. Total losses of approx £75. Couldn't be arsed fighting it so left quietly. They were extremely slow processing my request too.

Avoid them at all costs.

P.S I never actually traded with them, simply held a nominal amount in an account there in order to get access to data/ NT.

Hi Cal1066,
If you want a really top drawer futures broker - I can't recommend Infinity Futures strongly enough - I never had any problems with them at all, although it is a few years since I last used them.
Tim.

cal will have the same problems finding, sorry funding an Infinity Futures account as he has with amp futures.

his "bank" would inevitably suffer the same complete meltdown as per amp futures. the funding instructions are exactly the same for both brokers, with same bank to wire, with same swift code and aba number, if they can't work out how to pay amp, how will they succeed in managing to pay infinity?
