Hi all,

Can anyone suggest reliable and good priced brokerage firms for trading stocks on Istanbul Stock Exchange please. (I'm based in London).

Thanks!

While I was looking for a London firm to trade Turkish EUrobonds, I found that firm bcgpartners has an office in Turkey. Please check. They may allow you to trade Turkish stocks. I am not affiliated with them nor have an acct there.

However Turkish stock market is pretty bearish now due to heavy taxes and fees levied upon banks and banks are most important stocks. Also there is no shorting in ISE. PM me if you need more info

Thank you Etem. I was in Istanbul few days ago and while there opened a bank account at Garanti Bank and through their online banking you can trade shares. I bought GBP 1000 equivalent in Asya Katilim Bank for my young son as a long term investment. I think it has good potential for the next few years.

I think Garanti charged me only TRY 5 (£2) for the transaction, so I will be using them.

From the international brokerage firms, ChoiceTrade told me that I can trade on ISE via them, but the commission would be $5 + $25 broker assistance surcharge. This is too high in my view, so didn't go ahead with them.

Interactive Brokers and TradeStation both told me they can't provide me access to ISE.

Its time to revive this old thread. Did anybody manage to find good online brokers for ISE ? I am interested in just ordinary shares.

I am currently experimenting with DeGiro. They let you trade on ISE. However,
a) nearly no shares are configured in the platform and b) there is no pricing of any kind, so you have to trade blindly and 3) they won't let you place orders at price much higher than yesterday's close (because there isn't any other pricing).
Another words, utterly useless!

Surely there must be better brokers and platforms for ISE ?
