Default My main source of trading

BoM is easy and enjoyable to use, however their commission is too great so it can be hard to make money on smaller market moves. A great place to start!!

The main problem I experience with BOM is the unreliability of the servers leading to not being able to place bets at all times when I desire, irregular hourly index price data, and an inability to price bets when the market is at an intraday high or low.

When one is using the intraday up/down bets (which I generally trade and wholeheartedly support the idea) the above factors can be somewhat frustrating!

I am suprised no other firm has come up with such a user friendly interface as BOM.

BoM is easy to use and requires Little capital to start "trading" in the markets.

I like the fact you can sell your bet back to them if your position moves against you as you still have a chance to keep some of your capital.

Easy to move money in or out of account via credit card and they are fairly quick to debit any money back to your card.

Range of markets and shares limited however I think as time goes on it will only get better as it has over the last year or so I have been using BoM.

I think it is a good starting point for new Traders as you can lose or win a set amount unlike Spread Betting where you could lose a lot more.

Default BOM

I have been using BOM for about 6 months now, and apart from some very stupid mistakes where I lost about 50% of my capital, i am starting to recoup again with smaller stakes and very tight money management. I use the intraday up/down with some success.I would reccommend BOM as an interesting alternative to SB.

I am a swing trader generally, but found BOM via ADVFN about 3 months ago. After playing around for a month and loosing all I had put in, I started again using ONLY ''no touch' on indices.
I have'nt lost since.
I agree with what has already been said by some of you, that all that is needed is good money management.
I don't make a lot, but it pays the bills and frees up funds for my trading.

Good luck to all
DJ

Default BOM

Hello all, I've been using BOM for about three months, mostly no touch low risk stuff. The site itself is quite easy to use and given it's clear low and high risk ratings is obviously a good place to start. However, one major drawback - after turning a small profit (approx £300 on £1700 invested) I've decided to withdraw my funds for the time being. No problems with that you may think, but the site forces you to upgrade to a "Big Ticket" status before allowing full redistribution of funds, at least this is what has happened in my case - not really sure why this has happened. The help desk tells me: "it is standard policy to ask our clients to upgrade their account once certain trading limits have been reached". This means faxing two proofs of id - not easy given my lack of access to a fax or scanner.

I've since requested my account to be closed. So sign up by all means, but be prepared to "jump through hoops" when you want to withdraw your funds.

Best of luck
